The Art of the Self-Portrait
A Member-Suggested Assignment
A skilled photographer is able to capture the world around them not as others see it, but as they see it. We all see the world in a completely unique way, and we all see ourselves in a completely unique way.

The art of the self-portrait is to capture something about yourself that other people don't see. While "selfies" certainly qualify as self-portraits, they are usually an idealized version of how the person wants to be seen by other people.

For this Assignment, capture an aspect of your personality that other people may not be aware of, something that defines you and is rooted in how you define yourself.

This could be your location (your favorite room in the house, your favorite outdoor setting, etc), your expression, what you're holding, and most importantly the style and mood of the image.
