I'm posting this, not so much that it's an image I'm most proud of creatively, but it jumped started my love of photography! I was fortunate enough in the 70's to take my first workshop with Ansel Adams... AND Yousuf Karsh!

I have to say Judith, of all the photos I have seen of Ansel this is one of my favorite images of favorites. I like his pose, the light and his iconic hat on the table. Wonderful! And so nice to see you here!
Nice use of window light and use of light and dark. Aren't you lucky to have studied with Ansel (I was put on the waiting list for his workshop, but did not get in the year that I applied.) The addition of the hat says something about Ansel, although I'd like to see more of it - A little higher point of view by you would have improved the image. This is a keeper and a beautiful representation of a great photographer.
It's just divine especially for a neophyte at the time! It's reflects a very tender man indeed!
Great shadow ... I would think their family would like a print of this.
