My latest ongoing series uses a few yards of a stretchy material wrapped around my subjects allowing them to be able to move around in it creating sculpture-like shapes.
All of my subjects comment on how good it feels to be in the fabric. It was one of them that first called it a cocoon and the name stuck.
Very visual. Great way to explore shapes and curves
Great John... There's so much you could do with this! However, what I feel is an important critique which I didn't want to say it (of course) when I saw it on IG.... but what you should do to make it stronger is don't have any elements showing out of this area of the stretch fabric. So what I mean... on the top image,, don't let her hair show from behind the cloth or the feet. Keep everything behind the fabric and have it and even softness across all the images, don't let the bodies get too close to the fabric because then it takes away the soft flow of the body form that is carried through in other areas. As an example on this bottom image, you see the form of her ankle being tight against the fabric that becomes distracting. Another words, keep it all even, soft, and flowing, and then play with your shapes and movements. I feel strongly that if you work within these parameters, you're going to create something special!
