For the first day of this new year, 2025, I take you back to 1983, when by some great fortune, I gained access to the opening day of the Atlanta Braves season. My eyes were attentive mostly to the music scene in Atlanta, GA, where I honed my craft for a few years before moving to NYC. However, on occasion, I would take on other subject matter, including at the time, baseball. Not so much the game itself, although there were those images, but the scenes behind the bat. On this occasion, the ex President, Jimmy Carter, the first that I had voted for, as age allowed was in attendance. Not only the President, but his beloved wife Rosalyn and Ted Turner who owned the Braves and a transistor radio so he could listen to the Atlanta Hawks, another team he owned, while watching the action on the field. In one photo there was also Bear Bryant, another Andrew Young, ex mayor of Atlanta, and of course the Secret Service, back in the day when one or two agents was enough and the bad news of today, mass murders, were a very rare occurrence. Jimmy Carter was 100 years old, living in hospice for the last two years. My own father, is the same age and in a few months 101. He has outlived so many of his heroes. I dedicate this to him...

Happy New Year Enid! My goodness, this is such a special contribution to the longest living president in history. I like your sepia presentation of the series. And to think your dad is the same age. Now that adds to your story for sure. To a special 2025.. Cheers🥂
