Anniversary Album. My model, Sari, wanted a boudoir shoot in her bedroom to surprise her husband on their wedding anniversary. Story below..

The Anniversary Album series was created to surprise my friend, model Sari Cappel's husband, on their wedding anniversary. Sari asked me to photograph her looking sexy and beautiful in her private bedroom. I researched boudoir photography and brought a glamorous red glittery had, as well as some lingerie. There was a window for soft natural light, a bed, a mirror and a chair in this small private intimate room. One challenge was; she had a six year old daughter that she didn't want to involve in the shoot I was literally "smuggled" into the house and room, and told to do the shoot very quietly, since her daughter was in the next door room. We had to work very quickly and were done in less than an hour. This secretive atmosphere under pressure made it a lot of fun. It was actually hilarious. The album turned out absolutely gorgeous in regular single exposure photos, but my favorites are of course the double exposed images I created later. A twist to the story was; the six year old girl knew something was going on, and when her dad arrived home that night she told him; "Mom had a man in her bedroom today"!
