Paulo Coelho Autograph. Back in 2010, I was invited to a yearly party by the famous Brazilian Paulo Coelho and his wife Christina Oiticica in Melk, Austria. I had been active in Coelho's blog, and we were 100 readers from all over the world who got the invitation to be part of a private party for their close friends. Ahead of time, in the blog, I had asked Coelho, if he would sign his autograph for me, and he agreed, if I promised to tattoo it on my shoulder. He signed many of his books during the party, which guests had brought in the hope he would. I was wearing a strapless dress, to be ready for my special signature, and Voila! Here is one of my artistic representations of the most crazy thing I ever did in my life lol
2. Professional Self-portrait. New year's day I did a photoshoot of myself with an intention to use for a professional website. How many triangles can you count in this photo? Including the nose, the sail, the sky, the cape and almost the camera there are quite a number of triangles. Perhaps, this is why I like this portrait? I remember an artist friend told me, the more triangles in a picture, the better composition you have. I've learned using triangles in compositions are visually pleasing. You can check out several of my portraits from this series on my website; www.maritrunyonstudio.com
Imitating Rimel Neffati. One of my favorite current photographer is the French, self thought artist, Rimel Neffati. She is incredible beautiful and create self-portraits with great symbolic and almost surrealistic qualities. Well, using a wig, a fake red flower and a $1 wedding dress I found at a second hand store, I think this self portrait came out pretty good for being a 64 year old lady. I had fun doing it! I did another one wearing a Spartan helmet. I'm not able to find out what technique Ms. Neffati uses to create very mysterious atmosphere? Yes, this is the first time I'm showing this crazy photo and I'm showing the rest of my Neffati series to nobody..
#1 Great self portrait where less is more and the story behind that image is special!
#2 striking self portrait with a beautiful flow of composition and color... And of course, complemented by your use of multiple exposures!
I like this one so much! The mysteriousness came out beutifully: love the colors and the blurry effect.
Love the color in this one, and the subtle multiple exposure. Nice work!
