When I visited Wonderspaces in Scottsdale, Arizona, I was attracted to a sculpture by Michael Murphy that consisted of suspended black balls. At first, I did not realize that they formed an image of a woman's face. I photographed sections of the black balls to use later for collages. Then, my friend called me over to see the completed picture from a set vantage point.
