I am pleased that my images are have been exhibited outside of the United States these past two months. Last month, I traveled to Barcelona, Spain where my photos were exhibited at the FotoNostrum Gallery. My cowgirl image series had won the only Honorable Mention in the Lifestyle and Culture category of the Julia Margaret Cameron Awards. Three other photos of mine on display were in a giant enlargement of a double page spread in a book, "The World of Photography 2." which was published in December.
At the artists' dinner the night following the exhibit opening, I happened to sit down at a table with four other people. After introducing ourselves, we learned that four of us out of five had been in advertising and three of the four had worked at FCB Advertising at different locations around the world. What are the chances of that!

Also in December, one of my photos was displayed at Casa del Arte in Palma de Mallorca.
This month, I have photos being exhibited at the Thomson Gallery in Zug, Switzerland, the Andakulova Gallery in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and at the Nicoleta Gallery in Berlin.

The image, "Falling Leaves" is a composite abstract image which evokes autumn. It invites viewers to explore their emotions about the Fall season or about change and transition in life.
"Conescape" is a photo that I made in Valencia, Spain at the City of Arts and Sciences complex designed, in part, by Santiago Calatrava. I had just visited the Salvador Dali Museum in Figueres earlier that week, so the surreal quality of this composition struck me when I came across it.
"Melting Trees" is a magical scene that I found while walking through the Chicago Botanic Garden. The green-leaf laden trees appear to melt seamlessly into the pond. I love discovering and capturing the unusual, bringing attention to scenes that others might overlook.Let me know if your thoughts about these photos.
