This image was inspired by novels, books, mysteries, and murder movies wherever New York City plays a prominent role. When the Sun goes down in the Big City...anything is possible...Good or Bad! I was inspired to create this image from all of the above in combination with the incredible lights of night-time New York and the steam that rises throughout the City. I wanted to incorporate all of these elements to create a mysterious, dark, foreboding image, with no doubt where it was taking place. 30 Rock stands tall in the image, rising from the steam. In order to capture the image, I stood against a building just off of the street facing in the direction that had the angle I was looking for. This was actually a Limo Driver who was walking around waiting for his Charge who was enjoying dinner and/or a Show as he and several other Drivers waited for their return for the ride home. I remember that there was a pile of New York City garbage bags that were awaiting nighttime collection which I needed to keep just outside my frame...so as not to ruin the ambiance:)
