Last night, it was unusually warm in Chicago, and the evening had a foggy mist about it which gave it a magical mood. I took a long walk along Michigan Avenue in Chicago from the Auditorium Theater where I saw a wonderful musical - The Sugar Hill - Nutcracker and stopped along the way at the Art Institute of Chicago where I saw the Picasso exhibit. Then I proceded North. The Avenue was filled with people and holiday spirit. Holiday lights and a couple of decorated Christmas trees greeted me along the way. Finally, I arrived at the Old Watertower, a Chicago landmark that had survived the great Chicago Fire in 1871. The famed building was framed beautifully by the trees in the adjacent park. Photographing it was a joyful way to end a memorable day.
