I spent about a week in Lisbon as a side from a trip to Barcelona with a large group of people I work with. Getting around the city by their subway was the most practical means of travel. Lisbon's subway was started at the same time as the subway in Los Angeles but is about 5 times the size of LA's (thank you NIMBY's for this). Another thing about Lisbon's subway system is that it serves as a gallery for art. This photo was taken at the exit of one of the stops and I was taken by the unique contrast of the bifurcation of the view between the person exiting into daylight and the other person just coming up from the train platform and how they seemed to be of images from two different worlds

I like the yin and yang of this image. The photographer and viewer see the two figures, yet they are unaware of each other.
The composition is outstanding! It's like looking into two different worlds.
